Many other companies do not use the high level of security and technological advancements
offered by Premier Vault. Our security is end-to-end and starts at set up and continues
with each login and security is maintained with protected storage of your information.
Here are examples of the advanced technological measures we take at Premier Vault:
First, Premier Vault uses only secure Internet connections with a 128 bit advanced encryption
standard to encode and protect every transmission of your data to and from your
Virtual Vault. Encryption is a method of taking your data in an electronic form
and scrambling its contents so that if the transmitted information is somehow intercepted
by any third party it would be unreadable and unusable.
Second, Premier Vault uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) certification process to increase
your trust and confidence in secured transmission of data over the Internet. SSL
certification is an electronic file that uniquely identifies individuals and web
sites and enables encrypted communications by authorized users. When you upload
and download your data, it is coded and protected by encryption and so is the type
of transaction you are performing. The certification company used by Premier Vault is
well known and is utilized by many companies for their e-commerce transactions.
Third, Premier Vault utilizes a user name and password as its initial authentication process
for access to your online Virtual Vault. You select your user name and secret password
and only you know your password. You cannot access your data without both a correct
username and password.
Fourth, while your information is stored in your Virtual Vault at our secure data
center the "metadata" of your information is stripped away from the actual text
of your information and is stored as separate files in our multiple server disk
arrays. In simple terms metadata is a unique identifier and describes how and when
and by whom a particular set of data was collected, formatted and stored. Without
the metadata the stored information is unintelligible by anyone. Much like a lock
box in a bank, two keys (virtual keys in this case) are required to access your
stored information: one key from Premier Vault and one key from you. Even Premier Vault cannot
read the information in your Virtual Vault as you hold one key. Using this extraordinary
process we make your information even more secure.
Fifth, your information is stored on Premier Vault' fault resistant, multiple server
disk array, best in class servers and utilizing tested proven software. The data
center where we store your information is enterprise class and is equipped very
high levels of security and protection available today. This insures the safety
of our customer’s personal information and permits a secured access 24 hours a day,
7 days a week, 365 days a year from anywhere in the world. The data center is also
used by many high profile companies, Fortune 500 companies and state governments
for their data storage, data backup and disaster recovery.
